Meet the Bright Minds of LightHouse
Bryan Handing is the Managing Principal at LightHouse. His passion for the IT industry developed at an early age with programming first generation PC and Apple computers. He continued fueling his passion through his educational career, earning his Bachelors’ Degree from UNM in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Business Computer Systems. Bryan started his professional career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen, and quickly became a lead database administrator for one of the firm’s high-profile clients. During the 1990s, he transitioned to an Albuquerque-based accounting firm to develop an IT consulting department. Under his leadership, they become the first CPA-based technology group in New Mexico to achieve industry certifications from tech companies, such as Microsoft, Compaq (now HP), and Citrix. Additionally, Bryan maintains his CPA license as well as the AICPA’s Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) designation.
Bryan founded LightHouse in 2003, using his unique understanding of technology integration to support his clients’ business objectives. Under Bryan’s leadership, LightHouse has earned the reputation as a respected IT provider that guides and improves organizations by delivering effective technology solutions. Bryan wears many hats, but most enjoys maintaining strong relationships with his clients and being a trusted business advisor.
Bryan’s passions outside of LightHouse include family, food, and faith.
Matthew Fawver manages LightHouse’s client service delivery team, including both field and remote support engineering. These teams are responsible for maintaining stellar client service.
Matthew has had a diverse career within information technology, beginning in the late 90’s with entry level positions in structured cabling and DSL field support. In 2001, Matthew was hired by an early managed service provider to lead teams of technicians on large scale structured cabling projects. This same organization provided the path and guidance that developed Matthew into a network and systems administrator, supporting the organization’s managed services client base.
In 2006, Matthew was hired as a technology manager by Exchange Communications, the industry leader in production IT and communications solutions for the film and television industries. At Exchange Communications, Matthew provided technical support, architecture, research and development, and guidance to a nationwide field team for up to 60 productions and feature films at any given time. In 2011, Matthew transitioned to an account executive role with telecommunications provider TW Telecom. During his tenure, he was promoted to senior account executive. As senior account executive, Matthew supported the largest accounts in the territory, helping architect telecommunications solutions for enterprise businesses. Realizing his passion was in IT operations and management, Matthew left Level 3 Communications (formerly TW Telecom) in 2015 and took his position at LightHouse.
In his personal time, Matthew enjoys the outdoors, hanging out with his wife and two kids, and renovating homes.
Jason Vitela manages Lighthouse’s cloud team, which is responsible for supporting Lighthouse’s data center and its cloud clients. In addition, Jason and his team implement and support a number of client Citrix environments.
Jason’s career has spanned a variety of roles. He received a degree in English from the University of New Mexico in 1992 and went on to teach in the public schools for 5 years. In 1998, he left education and took a job as a technology consultant working for Bryan Handing.
In 2003, Jason and his family moved to Madison, WI, where Jason accepted a job as a senior technology consultant with Clifton Gunderson Technology Solutions. Before Jason left Clifton Gunderson, he was leading the Citrix department, which managed a Citrix XenApp environment consisting of hundreds of virtual servers supporting nearly 2,000 users across 45 offices. In 2012, Jason left Clifton Gunderson and was hired to help QBE Insurance complete its acquisition of a portion of Bank of America. At QBE, Jason was part of a team that supported thousands of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop users. He started as a senior engineer, became an architect, and was eventually promoted to a level 4 engineer. In 2016, Jason and his wife moved back to Albuquerque, where he accepted the job with LightHouse.
In Jason’s spare time, you can either find him with his family or playing guitar at a local venue.
Lorane Wilson manages LightHouse’s HR and accounting groups. Lorane graduated in 1992 with a BS in Accounting from Cal State Fresno. She has 25+ years of experience in a variety of accounting and finance roles in companies of all sizes and industries. She joined the LightHouse team in 2017 and recently moved to Denver with her husband and teenage daughter.
Brian Gregory manages LightHouse’s VoIP Solutions team based in Kansas City. He is an innovator and entrepreneur with over 28 years of experience in the technology industry as President of Kansas City based Network Innovations Inc. He has served on numerous boards, councils, and committees including CT Pioneers, the CompTIA Education Advisory Committee, and AltiGen Communications. His accomplishments include winning the US Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip Enterprise award in 1996 and was recognized on the CRN Fast Growth 100 list in 2006.
Brian is an active volunteer with several non-profit organizations, including terms as president of the Paola KS Chamber of Commerce, Head Captain of the Kansas City Chiefs Red Coaters, and the Braden’s Hope for Childhood Cancer Advisory Board. Brian lives in Olathe, KS with his wife Amy and has three children, Becca, Bethie, and Nate.
The Gregory family has a hobby farm with goats, chickens, ducks, swans, and dogs. Brian and Amy support their son’s band Quite Frankly.
